A mother has taken to social media to gush about her daughter's achievements. The 23-year-old has a BCom Accounting degree and aims to be a Chartered Accountant.
Tebello Mofokeng took to the #ImStaying group on Facebook to share her story.Last year, while studying BCom Accounting Honours at University of Free State, her daughter failed. It was her first time she had ever failed anything. She lost her bursary.
"As a single parent I understood why she was disappointed because now I have to pay for her fees, accommodation and food.For accommodation she has to stay off campus and it is very expensive but I assured her that now this is my time to pay and make sure that her dream would materialise"
The mother went on to say that failure was a second chance to do better.
"Nombulelo my child I love you and you are the best daughter ever.I will doing everything it takes to see you being a CA.You are already there"
She encouraged other single mothers to motivate their kids and be role models.
"Even in this situation God is still God.This is temporary"
