Mbalula announces 300km/h speedster from viral video has been arrested

- Transport Minister Fikile Mbalula is nothing if not thorough

- After a video of a speedster doing 300KM/h went viral the politician vowed he would be caught

- The minister took to social media to reveal the offending motorist has indeed been arrested

Fikile Mbalula has announced that the motorist, who gained infamy after clocking 308KM/h on a South African highway, has been caught.

Briefly.co.za gathers that the speedster went viral after Mzansi reacted with horror to the reckless driving on display.

Citizens were quick to pull the Transport Minister in and he had promised to apprehend the motorist.

In a post to social media, Mr Fix revealed the offending Audi owner has been taken into police custody:

"The 300KM/h famous speedstar has been arrested, he is in police custody in Midrand. He was arrested at a funeral in Polokwane. Simbambe wanya..."

While some were quick to point out more serious crimes still needed solving, many were impressed the suspect had actually been located.
