- The scammer stole Shauwn's picture and is promoting a fake competition

- The competition promises those who follow the scammer that they will be in the running to win R50 000

A scammer stole Shauwn Mkhize's Twitter profile picture and is masquerading as the KwaMaMkhize star on social media.

The fake account also has a very similar name to Shauwn's real account, with only one letter's difference.

The scammer is promising people who follow her a chance to win R50 000.

The scam is working too as the fake profile currently sits on over 10 000 followers.

Shauwn Mkhize took to her authentic Twitter account to warn Mzansi not to fall victim to the chance-taker.

Shauwn Mkhize tweeted, "Please beware of this fraudster. I and my family have nothing to do with this. Please don't fall victim."

Briefly.co.za reported that Shauwn's stepdaughter, Sbahle Mpisane, melted the internet with a sizzling beach selfie last week.

Her son, Andile Mpisane, has also captivated Mzansi with his unusual manner of speaking.
