Chiefs, Sundowns and Cape Town City pay tribute to Kobe Bryant

- A few PSL teams have taken to social media to offer condolences to the Bryant family

- This comes after Kobe Bryant and his daughter passed away in a helicopter crash

- Kaizer Chiefs and Sundowns offered words of comfort to all affected

South African PSL teams have taken to social media to pay their respects to Kobe Bryant. Briefly.co.za had previously reported that the legendary NBA player and admired sports star passed away in a fatal helicopter crash. It is believed a fire broke out and the helicopter spiralled out of control.

Kaizer Chiefs took to their Twitter account to offer their condolences. The account tweeted:

"Tonight the Amakhosi Family mourns the loss of a true legend, RIP Kobe Bryant, we send our condolences to the Bryant family and the world of sport at large. We are shocked and sad to see such a phenomenal athlete leave us."

Mamelodi Sundowns also joined in and shared kind words to the family of the late Bryant:

"We pray that the Almighty God comforts and strengthens the families during this sad time of their loss."

CapeTownCityFC took to their Twitter page to share a Kobe-related quote:

"Your #MondayMotivation quote. “A little progress each day adds up to big results”. #RIPKobeBryant"

Meanwhile, South African celebrities have also paid tribute to Bryant. Celebs such as Cassper Nyovest used the social media platform to let their fans and the rest of the world know that their hearts are broken.
