A woman has shared a heart-warming story about how she helped a stranger get into university. The Good Samaritan encountered a young woman in a taxi and after a brief conversation with her, she learnt that the lady was accepted into varsity but had no money to get there. The kind stranger gave the student money and she was able to go to school.
Kholofelo Mashiloane shared the story on the #ImStaying Facebook group. She said that she encountered the woman in a taxi in Mpumalanga.
"I sat next to a very soft and shy lady who had a baby on her lap at the back seat."
Kholofelo asked the lady about her life and she said that she had completed matric.
"She was accepted to study journalism at Nelson Mandela University and also approved for NSFAS but she can’t go because she has no transport money."
The woman said she needed R400.
"I don’t have much but I took her number, I talked to her mom over the phone and I’m pleased to say that she will be making her way to university tomorrow."
