A man who recorded himself driving at a jaw-dropping 308km/h has been released on R1 000 bail. The 36-year-old appeared in court after spending the weekend behind bars for speeding in his Audi TTS.
Phumlile Ncube appeared in the Midrand Magistrate's Court earlier this week and faces charges of reckless and negligent driving. TimesLIVE also reported that he faces charges connecting to endangering lives.
He was granted R1 000 bail and the case has been postponed to March.
Ncube shared video footage of himself speeding in a 120km/h zone in Midrand.

Briefly.co.za previously reported that Fikile Mbalula had announced that the motorist, who gained infamy had been caught. The speedster went viral after Mzansi reacted with horror to the reckless driving on display. Citizens were quick to pull the transport minister in and he had promised to apprehend the motorist.
