Today marks Patrice Motsepe's 58th birthday and we decided to honour the South African billionaire by taking a quick look at his life and career
Briefly.co.za compiled a list with five facts about President Cyril Ramaphosa's brother-in-law.
1. Education is power
Patrice Motsepe holds two separate degrees. Motsepe has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Swaziland and a law degree from the University of the Witwatersrand - where he specialised in mining and business law, Wikipedia reported.

2. When sport is life
Motsepe is the owner of the Mamelodi Sundowns and he recently acquired shares in the Blue Bulls rugby team.
3. He loves Donald Trump
Apparently, Motsepe is a fan of US President Donald Trump. At the WEF in Davos, the billionaire told Trump that "Africa loves" him.
The remarks confused Mzansi and Motsepe was roasted for speaking on behalf of all Africans. However, Motsepe has since apologised for his remarks.
4. One of Mzansi's richest men
Patrice Motsepe is the fourth-richest man in South Africa and he is also the youngest billionaire on that list.
The 58-year-old is said to be worth a whopping R36.4 billion - which he made from mining ventures and his love of sport, amongst others.
5. First brother-in-law
The mining magnate is the brother of Mzansi's first lady, Tshepo Motsepe, a doctor who is married to President Cyril Ramaphosa.
He is also the brother-in-law of Jeff Radebe, who is married to his Motsepe's sister, Bridget.
