K Naomi found herself in some hot water when shared her two cents on the commonness of HIV/Aids in South Africa.
HIV/Aids is an epidemic that South Africa has been facing for years. Millions of people are living with the disease and it is a touchy topic to comment on.
Briefly.co.za learnt that K Naomi said, in a now-deleted post, that “HIV/Aids is becoming the norm. This is scary.”

After all the drama that erupted over her comment, K Naomi took to social media with a statement explaining herself. While she stuck to her guns on HIV/Aids being “the norm”, she expressed that it was a topic that could be debated for days and that everyone’s opinion counted.
Throwing some stats in, K Naomi managed to pull her name from the gutter and show peeps that she was merely stating fact.
K Naomi expressed her sympathies to those living with the disease and those whose loved ones are suffering. Despite all the awareness and education on it, HIV/Aids is a common thing in Mzansi, it’s a fact.
Despite K Naomi’s attempt to clear the air, some just didn’t buy it.
