- Chef Tito Mboweni has treated Mzansi to yet another tasty recipe
- The nation's most thrifty minister is well known for his love of pilchards
- South Africa helped him decide on his dinner after being asked to vote
Finance Minister Tito Mboweni's favorite pastime is sharing his cooking experience with Mzansi.
But this time around, the politician asked South Africa to help make the 'critical decision' between chicken, beef or fish:
"The critical decision to be made is whether it will be chicken or beef stew or Lucky Star. Maybe we should vote. Starting now. I will tally the votes and announce. No rigging!"
Evidently, Mzansi believes Mboweni's signature dish is pilchards, with the fish rising to the top as the chosen protein.
Briefly.co.za reported that the Minister had opted to finish off 2019 with a similar dish and many citizens find it amusing one of the nation's leaders is so attached to the affordable meat.
As usual, the dish starred another firm favorite- garlic. Mboweni had one follower wondering if he was making fish with garlic, or garlic with fish.
Take a look at some of the reactions to the hilarious thread below:
