- After his death, many paid tribute to Kobe in all the ways they could
- Local actor and producer, Shona Ferguson, chose to remember the star with a cool and subtle shout-out
Kobe Bryant's sudden death in a helicopter accident left people all around the world shaken and upset.
They mourned, and continue to mourn, the loss of one of the sports world's biggest and brightest stars.
People dedicated beautiful and long posts to Kobe, hoping to pay tribute to a man admired by millions.
Shona Ferguson, a South African actor and producer, is one of them, and he did so very subtly.
Briefly.co.za noticed that Shona took to Instagram to share a picture of himself with a T-shirt with the words 'Black Mamba' on it. This was fans' nickname for Kobe.
Shona also added a caption which consisted of words once spoken by the basketball player. It seems this could be one of his favourite quotes by the man.
"I have nothing in common with lazy people who blame others for their lack of success. Great things come from hard work & perseverance. NO EXCUSES.” ~ Kobe Bryant"
In this low-key way, Shona reminded his followers why Kobe was so loved and admired, while also showing his respect for the star that was.
Many would say that such a subtle tribute out trumps a long and wordy post.
