WhatsApp reveals Android and iOS devices it will no longer work on

- The information available shows that Whatsapp will no longer function on selected devices starting from February 1, 2020

The popular messaging platform, WhatsApp, will no longer function on some Andriod and iOS devices.

The information available shows that the Facebook-owned application has stopped running on older versions of Android and iPhone iOS 8.

Briefly.co.za learnt that per a report by businessinsider.com, the app can no longer develop features for specified devices, starting from Saturday, 1 February.

Affected devices include those on Android versions 2.3.7 or older as well as iPhone iOS 8 and older.

WhatsApp will, however, make support systems available for Android devices running OS 4.0.3+, iPhone devices running iOS 9+, as well as phones running KaiOS 2.5.1+, including JioPhon and JioPhone 2.
