- A farmer has called on Cyril Ramaphosa to help him
- He claims to have been promised a land lease and he has yet to receive it
- Social media responses were varied on the topic
A farmer has taken to social media to call on President Ramaphosa to help him with a land lease. According to the man, he was promised a lease but was never given one. He went on to share pictures of his work.
Dimakatso took to Twitter to appeal to Ramaphosa to make good of a promise he was made:
"Dear President Dr Cyril Ramaphosa, since I requested your intervention regarding my 2010 - 2020 promised lease land that I was successfully interviewed for... people who applied before me were given lease land and why was I not consulted?"
Briefly.co.za gathered that the man specialises in mixed farming. Social media users had mixed reactions about his post. While some encouraged him, others said that his request was pointless. Twitter user AstroSurfer1 said:
"He's not even going to respond to you."
"You must speak ANC language, your things will be quicker. Say something like, if they have conference, you'll help there and there."
"Cyril never responds, I doubt this is his Twitter account."
"Land distribution is reserved for the select few my friend. Just like in Zimbabwe. Congratulations on your achievements. Great efforts sir. Well done."
"You’re doing good... hope someone comes through to you. If I had power and money I would definitely help you my brother."
