South Africans inspired by woman's perseverance: "You're a star"

A woman has impressed Mzansi by sharing how she never gave up on her academic journey.

After passing matric poorly in 2011, she went back to Grade 11. She improved her marks and was accepted into university after matriculating once more. Her tertiary studies were met with equal difficulty but she triumphed and is graduating this year.

Twitter user SineHwanqah shared her story on the social media platform:

"Not giving up on my education, I passed matric in 2011 poorly then went back to Grade 11 in 2012, finished my matric in 2013, scored myself 34 points from 21 points. Went to UKZN in 2014, dropped out in 2015. Dusted myself off and went to UFS in '17. I'm completing my degree this year."

Her inspiring post went viral with over 5 000 likes. Many were encouraged by her perseverance.
