South Africa's hip hop game has come on in leaps and bounds, so a career as a rapper can potentially be a lucrative option.

A young boy revealed his ambition to make his mark in the genre as he showcased his rapping ability at school.

Thanks to the assistance of his classmates, the young man pulled off a freestyle rap performance that was caught on camera.

After being shared via Twitter, Briefly.co.za noted that it went viral in quick time.

To date, the video has been viewed more than 200 000 times and South Africans heaped praise on the young man.
