Taking to social media on Monday, Sbu revealed that his idol, the person he looked to for guidance, told him he could not sing.

Sbu expressed how hearing this from the person he looked up to broke him. At first he did believe it because he trusted this person with everything he had, however, he never stopped singing.

Continuing to sing despite believing he would never make it is what made Sbu realise that the person he looked up to was wrong.

Sharing a clip of US music legend Jennifer Lopez discussing her struggles, Sbu shared his struggles. It took a lot of self-belief, dedication and perseverance to get to where he is today and Sbu wants everyone to know that so that they too will follow their hearts and pursue their dreams.
