- It's viewed as a compliment by many, but Mpoomy Ledwaba does not like people calling her daughter makoti (daughter-in-law)
- The YouTuber says she's hoping her daughter will be much more than that
- She shares a one-year-old with Idols rupper-up Brendan Praise
YouTuber Mpoomy Ledwaba took to Twitter to voice her disapproval of people calling her one-year-old daughter makoti (daughter-in-law).
On Monday, she tweeted, "Nothing creepier than adults seeing babies and calling them makoti or mkhwenyane (son-in-law)."
Mpoomy shares her daughter with her hubby, Idols runner-up Brendan Praise.
The yummy mommy said it irks her when people call their daughter, Nuri, their makoti.
When a tweep pointed out that it's actually a compliment, Mpoomy said she believes she is raising her to be much more than just somebody's wife.
Other tweeps defended the fact that the older generation says it with the best intentions.
In Mpoomy's defence, dealing with everything that comes with being a new mommy can be quite daunting - it takes a bit of getting used to relating to your child and how others relate to them too.
Briefly.co.za reported that Lootlove was brutally honest about all the challenges she's faced as a new mom of one-year-old twin girls.
