Sho Madjozi is all about empowering women and helping make the music industry more equal.

With that in mind, she is offering a scholarship for one female producer who wants to get into the industry.

She feels things are too male-dominated and wants more women taking their spots in the music world.

Taking to social media, she said she'll give a scholarship to a woman to attend the Bridges Academy in Langa.

The aspiring producer will be taking part in a five-month course.

"The technical side of music is so male-dominated & I’d like to see more women in that space. That’s why I’ve created a scholarship for a female producer to attend the Bridges Academy in Langa. The 5-month course starts in a few weeks."

Briefly.co.za gathered that the course will cover most specifically sound engineering and studio work. The programme starts on 10 February and finishes on 14 June.

According to the course details, it will be hard work and a lot of time will have to be spent on it.
