SA media personality, Penny Lebyane, shared her opinion on the drama that is unfolding in Lesotho.

She feels the prime minister, Thomas Thabane, should step down after his wife, Maesaiah Thabane, was charged with murder.

Briefly.co.za reported earlier that the charges against her are in relation to the death of the prime minister's previous wife.

Maesaiah handed herself over to police after emerging from hiding and she was taken into custody at the South African border. The 42-year-old is charged with murder along with eight co-accused.

According to Penny, South Africans who attended Thomas' inauguration should also be ashamed of themselves.

"It's a messy mess. The prime minister must step down nje. The whole Southern Africans who attended that inauguration 2 days after mme Dipolelo died must hang their heads in shame. Sies, I mean they let that guy go ahead with the madness."
