Pitso Mosimane threw some serious shade at the Kaizer Chiefs after his team got SuperSport United in the Nedbank Cup draws.

Mosimane - who has been outspoken on the Amakhosi side benefiting from poor refereeing and a lot of time to "rest" - has once again taunted the rival side.

This time, the Mamelodi Sundowns coach said "some teams" drew "easy" matches while his team ended up with a fixture against SuperSport United.

The Brazilians coach addressed the media on Thursday ahead of Sundowns’ opening cup clash, which is a Tshwane derby with SuperSport United on Saturday night, KickOff reported.

Mosimane joked that he wondered whether Lux (the PSL draw master) was "doing that thing of feeling the hot and cold balls, or do they have the same temperatures".

He added that he was stunned that the Sundowns pulled SuperSport United instead of one of the easier teams such as the "Hungry Lions" or a team from the NFD.

Mosimane added that he has never been lucky enough to get an easy draw and then he "knows people" who have easy draws every time, "up to the final".

“Can I have the same luck as those people? I never have that luck, you [Lux] always give me something strong," he said.

The Sundowns coach added they will go with it but he's hopeful the next draw will see a fixture against a much weaker opponent.

Mosimane concluded:

“Let me breathe – it’s the [Absa Premiership] league, Champions League, so give me a breather and let me get somebody that I should not worry about.”

The Sundowns will be taking on Al Ahly in the CAF quarter finals, Briefly.co.za learned.
