- Ernst Middendorp and Josef Zinnbauer were spotted sitting together at the match between Bidvest Wits and Black Leopards
- The Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates coaches were both doing their homework as their sides will face Wits and Leopards within the next few weeks
- Football followers were caught by surprise to see the two German tacticians together
There's no love lost between Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates.
The two clubs share quite a few things in common and one of them is that both clubs are being coached by German mentors.
However, Middendorp made it clear that he'd never met Zinnbauer and that he felt no obligation to wish him well.
Briefly.co.za also recalls that the Chiefs coach pointed out that Zinnbauer is 20 years his junior.
It therefore came as a surprise when fans saw the two men sitting side-by-side on Thursday evening.
Both Zinnbauer and Middendorp decided to attend the match between Bidvest Wits and Black Leopards and were seated next to each other.
Coincidentally, the Buccaneers will face Wits over the weekend in the Nedbank Cup, followed by Leopards the following week in a PSL clash.
Middendorp's men will face Wits in a crucial match that could influence the title race, but it only takes place in March.
Sadly, the two Germans wasted their time as the match was scrapped due to inclement weather.
Perhaps the pair discussed some details of the looming Soweto Derby taking place on February 29.
