Bidvest Wits achieved an excellent result as they beat Orlando Pirates in the Nedbank Cup over the weekend.

The Buccaneers have been the in-form side since the arrival of coach Josef Zinnbauer, but Wits held their own as the two sides were level at 3-3.

However, The Clever Boys prevailed after a penalty shootout.

Based on the outcome, Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane is optimistic that Wits can do his team a favour in the Absa Premiership.

Mosimane urged coach Gavin Hunt and his men to produce a similar result against the log leaders.

The two sides still need to face each other twice and Wits have already taken four points off Sundowns, based on their two draws.
