Bidvest Wits achieved an excellent result as they beat Orlando Pirates in the Nedbank Cup over the weekend.
The Buccaneers have been the in-form side since the arrival of coach Josef Zinnbauer, but Wits held their own as the two sides were level at 3-3.
However, The Clever Boys prevailed after a penalty shootout.
Based on the outcome, Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane is optimistic that Wits can do his team a favour in the Absa Premiership.
Mosimane urged coach Gavin Hunt and his men to produce a similar result against the log leaders.
The two sides still need to face each other twice and Wits have already taken four points off Sundowns, based on their two draws.
Briefly.co.za previously reported that Kaizer Chiefs coach Ernst Middendorp tried doing his homework as he attended the match between Wits and Black Leopards.
Mosimane said, "Maybe I must speak to Hunt. Hey Hunty, come do your work, come do your stuff my brother."
KickOFF.com reported that Mosimane plans to attend the crunch clash in Soweto.
Mosimane added, "We will go to FNB Stadium. We will see what happens at FNB stadium, you may never know."
