Durban businesswoman Shauwn Mkhize has won Mzansi over with her success and taste.

The country got to know her better when her reality show, KwaMaMkhize, debuted on Mzansi Magic last month.

Shauwn opened up to Drum about why she decided to show do the show in the first place.

Shauwn said she wanted to prove to people that she is the real deal and that her family is is actually pretty normal despite being filthy rich.

She said, “As time went on, I felt like this was going to be an opportunity for me to tell my story and introduce myself the way I am. People know me according to a perception that's been created by the media, but they don't know who I am.
“When you hear people talking and referring to you, you realise how little they know about you as a person. So I thought this will assist me to gain my identity and tell my story my way.”

Shauwn's children, Sbahle and Andile Mpisane, feature heavily in the show.

Briefly.co.za reported that Mzansi was blown away by how brave Sbahle was to get back behind the wheel following her horrific car accident in 2018.

As for Andile, his quirky mannerisms have completely captivated Mzansi.

Briefly.co.za reported that Shauwn has warned people not to fall for a Twitter scammer who is using her name to gain followers and making false promises to tweeps.
