- Collen Mashawana has given a new house to another struggling South African family
- The businessman took to Facebook to share photos of the new house and he opened up about the Mashala family's story
- The family has been living in a dilapidated shack for almost three decades
Afribiz businessman Collen Mashawana has once again helped a struggling family. On Friday, Mashawana took to Facebook to share photos of the new house he and Afribiz gifted to the Mashala family.
The businessman revealed the family had been living in a shack for almost 30 years.
He wrote online:
"For almost 3 decades the Mashala family has stayed in a dilapidated shack. The family particularly drew the attention of the Mpumalanga Premier’s office due to the shack being erected within a 100 year flood line which poses a life threat to the family."
Christine Mashala is the mother of three children and they live in fear because one of her kids lives with albinism and is at risk of being murdered for body parts.
Mashawana added in the post:
"This specific case taught us the heart wrenching reality of people who live with albinism. They are vulnerable and there is an urgent need to educate the general public to dispel the myths associated with albinism and to challenge our traditional healers to assist in condemning such inhumane acts that affect the livelihood of innocent people. After meeting them two months ago, we committed to building them a new home and I can proudly say we have fulfilled our promise. May God be with them."

Mashawana is known for his kindness. Every year, he helps several South African families - most of whom had been waiting on the government for a RDP house - get their dream homes.
Briefly.co.za previously reported Mashawana visited a 26-year-old woman who was said to be the poorest in her community. He vowed to give her a new house and within just weeks, he made good on that promise.
