Joseph Shabalala, the man who brought us Ladysmith Black Mambazo, has died. The group's manager, Xolani Majozi, confirmed that the 78-year-old died on Tuesday morning, 11 February.

Ladysmith Black Mambazo is an award-winning group whose sounds have made the continent of Africa dance and filled it with pride on countless occasions.

Briefly.co.za has seen the incredible sadness that has engulfed all as a result of Joseph Shabalala’s passing.

According to Xolani, Joseph's wife, Thokozile, was with him during his last moments on earth.
