Lay's confirmed it has discontinued one of its most popular flavours - salt and vinegar - and Mzansi is not happy.
South Africans dragged Lay's after the company confirmed its salt and vinegar flavour would no longer be available in stores after it was discontinued.
Responding to social media user, Laila Manie, who wanted to know why she can't find the flavour anywhere, Lay's wrote:
"Hi @LailaManie, unfortunately, Lay’s Salt & Vinegar Flavour has been discontinued and will no longer be available in the market. We however invite you to try our new Lay’s Sweet and Smoky American BBQ Flavour. We do hope you enjoy our other flavours from our range too."
Briefly.co.za saw Mzansi was not taking the news well, in fact, some had rather harsh opinions about the company's decision to take away the popular flavour.
Social media user Ben Dover commented:
"This is the worst news I heard all week."
Twitter user, @_tiiiiiiiiiiii_, added:
"Please don't be like your friends at Kelloggs bro. Just bring it back. We don't care about BBQ."
It did not take long for Simba to chip in and take some of Lay's unsatisfied customers.
