China’s Hubei province has recorded almost 15 000 new cases of the coronavirus.
The information available shows that 242 deaths were recorded on Wednesday.
These mark the highest mortality and infection figures since the outbreak started in December.

According to Business Insider, 13 332 out of the almost 15 000 cases were clinically diagnosed. This means that they affected people were diagnosed after exhibiting symptoms of the virus but did not necessarily have confirmed lab test results.
