- While the State Of the Nation Address is about South Africa's future, the red carpet dominates before the event starts
- We previously looked at all the best-dressed politicians and celebs attending
- Now, we'll be looking at those who didn't quite put their best foot forward
The State of the Nation Address is something that South Africans have looked forward to since the last one - they want President Ramaphosa to get down to business.
But before that starts, there's the fashion side of things to judge. Earlier, Briefly.co.za reported on how good Mzansi's celebs and politicians looked.
As they made their way down the red carpet, most of them looked good enough to attend a Hollywood event.
However, there was a handful who were criticised for their choices. These are few and we had to really dig to find the 'worst-dressed' of the event.
Most of the people who made our list really didn't look all that bad, but they didn't look amazing either.
So here we have our list of mediocre-dressed attendees of #SONA2020.
While many thought she looked fabulous, Babalwa Mneno, popular model and hair salon owner, may have been better off with a different dress. Too many frills for most people's taste and they feel the green shoes were a miss too.
Ignoring Phumzile here because she looked great and moving on to Khumbudzo Ntshavheni, our Minister of Small Business Development. Her outfit was deemed very plain and unattractive.
While Minister Mbalula looked quite fashionable, Minister Ndabeni-Abrahams didn't. Fashion critics felt that the dress was the wrong colour and it just didn't wow them the way other politicians' outfits did.
And that's all folks! The red carpet of #SONA2020 didn't disappoint this year and it was hard to find someone who didn't look fantastic.
