- The EFF once again disrupted the State of the Nation Address when they demanded Pravin Gordhan be fired
- The ruckus that followed resulted in #SONA2020 being suspended for a few minutes
- Mzansi reacted with shock and disbelief at the proceedings
The EFF was forced to leave #SONA2020 after refusing to allow proceedings to continue unless Public Enterprises Minister Pravin Gordhan was fired.
They also objected to former apartheid president, FW de Klerk, being present.
The party went back and forth with the Madame Speaker and other parties' members for about an hour and a half, preventing #SONA2020 from continuing.
#SONA2020 was eventually suspended and EFF members were asked to leave.
The party left while hurling insults at the remaining delegates.
A large number of MPs then called for EFF to be severely punished for once again disrupting #SONA.
Mzansi watched the entire debacle with shock and disbelief - and were just impatient to hear President Cyril Ramaphosa's speech.
Others called Julius Malema the G.O.A.T. for commanding the media's attention even outside Parliament.
