A video has surfaced online showing an officer struggling to turn while marching at the State of the Nation Address (SONA) on Thursday and Mzansi argued over the 'Mabena moment.'
The SONA made headlines for more than one reason, some having nothing to do with the president's speech.
An officer has made it onto social media after a video was shared showing him having a tough time doing a turn while marching.
Twitter parody account Man's Not Barry Roux posted the clip on the social media handle, captioning it:
"There goes Mabena ko Parliament #SONA2020."
Briefly.co.za gathered the video got more than 84 000 views and South Africans were left arguing on the officer's technique.
Many poked fun at the officer's Mabena moment while others said he had done nothing wrong, adding it's called an "about turn" - which means a person adjusts his or her movements on an uneven surface.
DJ Sbu was amongst those to find the video funny and he commented with several laughing emojis.
Twitter user, @_WiseySA, commented:
"They can’t do a simple march."
Another tweep, @cebisa_b, said:
"Absolutely nothing wrong there, try doing an about turn on uneven surface. Sharp drill movement."
