An official sketch of the Melville shooting suspect has been released and it has left South Africans with more questions than answers.

Yusuf Abramjee shared the sketch - which was done by an 'expert' - on Twitter last week, gathered.

Abramjee captioned the post:

South Africans wanted to know if the sketch was some kind of joke or if the police used artist Rasta for the job.

Twitter user, @Lebopo77, commented:

"Are you sure they didn't use Rasta?"

Nkosinathi Silindokuhle, who goes by the Twitter handle @pah_thuram, said:

"Is that a tongue or a toothpick?"

Another tweep, @iamrealstag, added:

"Is this a joke?"

Social media user, @mthwakazination, wrote:

"Is there any reward? If there is I will just grab anyone and hand him over."

Theodorah Manjo, @MissManjo, commented:

"Sooooo it's a cyclist with a toothpick? Hai even me I can draw better."
