- Minister of Finance Tito Mboweni mocked the Economic Freedom Fighters via social media
- Mboweni's comical post drew a comparison between his chickens and the popular political party
- South Africans saw the funny side, as the tweet started trending
Minister of Finance Tito Mboweni seemed to be in jovial mood on Monday as he shared a lighthearted social media post.
Mboweni shared four photos via Twitter, which revealed how his chickens inadvertently entered his home.
The finance minister then hilariously compared them to the EFF, based on their forceful approach. Mboweni's tweet was caption:
"These ones decided to come into the House! EFF tendencies! Hayibo!"
Perhaps roasting immediately came to Mboweni's mind after seeing the chickens cross his floor.
It wasn't long ago that Briefly.co.za reported on how the minister was roasted for his dress sense.
Based on the reactions, Mboweni's cheeky tweet was well-received and most South Africans appreciated its comical nature.
