EFF leader Julius Malema is known for his bullish and uncompromising approach to politics.

However, South Africans got to see Juju's softer side following a kindhearted social media post on Sunday.

Twitter user Lebo Keswa (@LebohangKeswa) took to the social media platform to reveal news of her grandmother's 99th birthday celebration:

"Yesterday we hosted my Grandmothers 99th Birthday at the community hall with over 100 elderly people from our community. She woke up very emotional and has been praying the whole morning."

Tweeps fell in love with the beautiful tweet and gesture, as the post started trending.

Briefly.co.za noted that the feel-good post attracted 8 000 likes and Malema was one of those who commented.

The charismatic politician showered the gogo with hugs and kisses, on behalf of the EFF.
