Radio host Phat Joe back on air after being suspended for absenteeism

Fans of the popular radio DJ, Phat Joe, were excited to have him back on air after he'd been MIA for a few days.

Phat Joe was suspended from the Radio 2000 breakfast show following a disciplinary hearing regarding absenteeism.

Daily Sun reported that the absenteeism complaint was related to Joe not returning to work time after the Christmas break.

The DJ allegedly decided to spend a few more days at home, much to the disapproval of his station manager Chris Choane. He was subsequently suspended.

Phat Joe finally came back on air yesterday and fans were over the moon at their fave's return.

Joe is certainly no stranger to hiccups in his broadcasting career.

Briefly.co.za reported that he was in hot water with listeners for a spicy on-air comment.

He was also forced to apologise to Anele Mdoda for criticising her being chosen as a Miss South Africa judge.
