Mzansi horrified as elderly man robbed: “I hate this with passion”

With the high rate of crime in Mzansi, South Africans have nearly become desensitised to criminal acts.

However, a recent armed robbery caused quite a stir, as South Africans were outraged by what they saw.

The footage revealed how an elderly man became the victim of an armed robbery in broad daylight.

Briefly.co.za learnt that the madala had just withdrawn a large amount of cash from his bank when the thugs struck.

Intelligence Bureau SA shared the video via Facebook on Thursday and it's attracted hundreds of comments.

While many expressed their disdain for the perpetrators, others were convinced that it was an inside job.

Musa Mofokeng said,

"I hate this with passion. Hope the old man is fine after this experience."

Kgaugelo Sammy Boya suggested a radical solution:

"I wish citizens were allowed to defend themselves in any means necessary."

Masebetsi Laezer Makgobatlou suspected an inside job:

"The question is how did they know that he withdraw large amounts of money. Bank teller and the person who authorized the withdrawal knows.they must be interrogated."

Wiseman Vilakazi felt the victim should have taken precautions:

"But why? There are so much alternatives available out there. This is being preached left right and centre everyday not to withdraw large amounts as it is no longer safe."
