Mzansi says goodbye to Joseph Shabalala: "You will never be forgotten"

The iconic founder of the internationally recognised group Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Joseph Shabalala will be laid to rest today.

Briefly.co.za learned that Shabalala died last week after losing a battle with a long illness. Among his guests will be President Cyril Ramaphosa who is expected to give a eulogy.

South Africans have taken to social media to say their final goodbyes to the amazing musician.

Rasta paid tribute to Shabalala in his own special way.

Shabalala started singing as a teenager for the Durban Choir, in 1959 he formed Ezimnyama and later founded Ladysmith Black Mambazo, named after his hometown of Ladysmith.

In other news, Maphorisa wants to work with DJ Zinhle, who is one of Africa's biggest artists.
