EFF opened 3 assault cases after removal from the North West SOPA

The EFF in the North West province has opened 3 cases of assault against security officials who they claim were violent.

Things got heated during the State Of the Province Address and 2 members of the party were removed.

SABC News reported that the alleged assault took place after these members were kicked out.

According to a statement by the EFF, members of the party were assaulted and subsequently hospitalised.

Briefly.co.za gathered that the chaos started when MPLs argued about the legitimacy of the Premier's legitimacy to address the house.

Matters escalated and the EFF members were dismissed. After this, the altercation with security apparently took place.

The EFF expressed its unhappiness and shared the news of the assault cases opened at Mmabatho Police Station on social media.

The party is also calling for an inquiry into the events at the SOPA.
