Eskom had given South Africans some welcome news this Sunday - no load-shedding unless of course there is.
Briefly.co.za learned that the power generation utility predicted that there was enough power in the system to avoid any power cuts but they could not rule out any breakdowns or unexpected events which may result in load-shedding.
“However, the generation plant remains unreliable and unpredictable and the possibility remains that load-shedding may be implemented at short notice, should there be major changes in the generation system performance during the course of the day.” Eskom reported.
The amount of power currently available is sufficient to meet the country's needs according to timeslive.co.za.
Recently, Briefly.co.za reported on Finance Minister Tito Mboweni being caught off guard by load-shedding as they prepared for the budget speech, he took to social media and South Africa responded.
