- Kaizer Chiefs face Orlando Pirates in the Soweto derby on Saturday
- Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane is fully behind the Buccaneers to give his side a better chance of winning the title
- Mosimane says he is keen to see which of the two German coaches is the "smartest"
It's the fixture that has defined South African football for decades.
Kaizer Chiefs face Orlando Pirates in the Soweto derby on Saturday at the FNB Stadium and the result could have huge implications on the league title.
At one point, Chiefs boasted a seemingly unassailable 10-point margin in the Absa Premiership, but this has been reduced to just four.
Last weekend, Briefly.co.za reported on Kaizer Chiefs' loss against Maritzburg United, which provided more hope for the chasing pack.
Sundowns are in second place with 41 points, while Pirates have 39, but have played one more match.
It should therefore come as no surprise that Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane is very vocal about his support for the Buccaneers.
The Downs mentor said, “We don’t want Chiefs to run away with it."
Daily Sun reported that Mosimane is keen to see which of the two German coaches will emerge victorious.
Chiefs coach Ernst Middendorp will hope his experience will count in his favour against his younger countryman Josef Zinnbauer.
Mosimane said, “It’s the battle of the Germans. I can’t wait to see who is the smartest two."
