Hollywood superstar and pride of South Africa recently shared pictures of the event held to mark the 10th-anniversary the Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project (CTAOP).
The event was attended by a couple of Charlize’s friends. The list includes names such as Seth MacFarlane, Geoffrey Zakarian, Mary McCormack, Lee England and Aisha Tyler.
CTAOP was started by Charlize 10-years ago with the aim to educate young people in Sub-Saharan Africa (and more specifically in South Africa) about the dangers of HIV/AIDS. The foundation hopes that educating young people will help in the fight against the disease.
The event was held at Geoffrey Zakarian’s restaurant Georgie in the Montage Beverly Hills Hotel. Zakarian is a successful chef and restaurateur in the United States and is a regular on cooking channel Food Network.
Briefly.co.za learned from Instagram that Charlize expressed her thanks for all the support her foundation has received since she started it 10-years ago. She was amazed at the amount of good that the foundation had achieved and looked forward to the future which she said was bright.
