- A young lady expressed her frustration with the African National Congress (ANC) via social media
- She declared that she would no longer be voting for the ruling party and Fikile Mbalaula wanted to know the reason why
- The Minister of Transport was roasted as South Africans responded angrily to his question
Minister of Transport Fikile Mbalula was on the receiving end of a social media rollicking on Monday.
The drama started when Khutso Rapudi took to Twitter to share her frustration with the ANC.
Despite being an ANC member, the young woman declared that they no longer have her vote.
Based on this, Mbaks then took it upon himself to establish the motive behind her statement.
South Africans did not even allow Khutso the opportunity to respond as they proceeded to roast the minister.
Briefly.co.za gathered that many were enraged that Mbaks would even pose the question when the reasons should be fairly obvious.
Charlotte Z Khumalo (@CharlotteKhuma3) said,
"I'm with @KhutsoRapudi here...you're failing dismally to deal with " RET leaders" who are unashamedly driving a wedge between ANC leaders.they're attacking the judiciary, spreading misinformation, undermining the president..who'd want to be a part of that?"
Sifiso Kheswa (@mansoh25) slammed Mbaks:
"That question Minister says a lot about how you (Government Officials/ Public Servants) are so so so disconnected from people on the ground. Denial, ignorance and arrogance is the reason why you'd actually be asking that question."
Bashier Sallie (@bashiersallie) said,
"Uhmmm... let me think, because the ANC destroyed the economy, because so many of our people are in dire straits, because crime has overwhelmed our country, because the ANC has chronically corrupt cadres dominating the party, because our public health system has collapsed... etc."
In other Mbalula-related news, Briefly.co.za recently reported on the social media showdown between Mbaks and EFF Julius Malema.
