Vanessa Bryant was having a hard time during the memorial service for her husband and daughter, Kobe and Gigi, which is quite understandable.

As Michael Jordan gave an emotional speech, Beyoncé was seen sweetly supporting the grieving woman.

It didn't look like the singer said much, she simply held Vanessa's arm, giving her silent comfort.

The moment was captured on camera and moved many hearts who saw it. According to The Daily Mail, the Bryant family and Beyoncé have been friends for more than 20 years.

Kobe and Gigi tragically passed away during a helicopter accident on 26 January, along with seven other people.

Beyoncé's tribute to the father and daughter was a touching one and it left the 20 000-strong crowd in tears.

The singer sang one of Kobe's favourite songs, XO, and encouraged the mourners to sing along, Briefly.co.za reported.

During the memorial, Vanessa remembered her husband and daughter in a very emotional tribute. She described Gianna as a sweet and gentle soul, saying she regrets she will never witness her wedding.

Meanwhile, it was also reported that Vanessa is suing the owner of the helicopter in which Kobe and Gigi were killed.

Vanessa's suit against the company came just days after her hubby and daughter were laid to rest. She sued for damages from the company for allowing the helicopter to fly in bad weather conditions, causing deaths.

The suit also implicated the pilot for excessive speed in the weather conditions.
