Mzansi Reacts the Chiefs Beating the Pirates on #Sowetoderby

The final whistle has blown on #Sowetoderby 2020. The game was tough with the crowds vocally supporting their teams. The Kaizer Chiefs beat the Orlando Pirates 1-0.

Mzansi came out if full force to support the two teams, Kaizer Chiefs and Orland Pirates. The rivalry between these two teams is the stuff of legends the match was hard-fought and hard-won.

Briefly.co.za saw that fans showed their true colours in the day, displaying their love for their teams. South Africans from all over the country, all shapes, all sizes and all colours came out to celebrate their teams. Joined together by their love of the sport.

In the 30' minute Lebogang Manyama scored the only goal of the match, giving the Chiefs the lead which they retained until the final whistle.

Late substitutions were not enough to turn the tide for the Pirates, leading to their defeat and giving the Chiefs the confidence and points they need to take the ABSA premiership.

Daniel Akpeyi defended like a trojan throughout the match earning him praise on Twitter.

However, there had to be a winner, at the end of the day the Kaizer Chiefs managed to keep their lead and take the day.

If you feel bad for the Pirates you can always tell yourself, no matter what, soccer was the real winner today.

South Africa reacted with tears and laughter to the match today as two great rivals squared off against each and did not disappoint.
