Date My Family had a firm favourite tonight in the form of contestant Sonto.

The humble lady blew Mzansi away with her respectful and down-to-earth nature.

She was impressed by the simple things like the bachelor, Simphiwe, wearing a watch.

And things like girlfriend allowance were just not in her vocabulary.

Sonto also immediately began respectfully to Simphiwe as ubaba (man of the house).

Mzansi was crossing thumbs that the bachelor would choose her.

One viewer wrote, "If this guy doesn't choose Sonto, I'm not going to work tomorrow."

Another said, "Simphiwe for Sonto. Do we agree?"

Mandy Sibisi wrote, "Stop the show, Sonto is ready for this guy bathong (people)."

Unfortunately, Simphiwe chose another woman and South Ah was left devastated on his behalf.

One tweep wrote, "He didn't choose Sonto bathong," adding a crying meme.

Another wrote, "Why didn't he choose Sonto ngempela (really)? He had no valid reason to not choose Sonto."

Boledi M demanded that Simphiwe go back and ask Simphiwe on a date.

Last week's bachelorette, Thandeka, failed to impress with her gold-digging tendencies.

She refused to even consider picking a teacher as their salaries are too low.
