Nomzamo Mbatha has officially left Isibaya and her departure leaves a hole in the hearts of viewers as well as cast members.

She has made her mark as a passionate, driven and hard-working actress and will be missed by everyone involved in the show.

To show her that she is loved and admired, some of the cast of Isibaya said a few words addressed to the talented actress as a way of saying farewell.

It is a bittersweet farewell as everyone is sad to see Nomzamo go but they are also immensely proud of her.

She has been working hard to earn herself a growing career on the international stage and is reaping the rewards.

Nomzamo scooped up a role in the Hollywood production Coming 2 America 2 and is waving the South African flag like a boss overseas.

The character has been adored and admired by viewers of the show for years and now she's gone.

Thandeka doesn't just leave - she dies and this left fans shook - they don't understand why their fave has to go like that.

Memes were at the order of the day as social media users expressed their sorrow at seeing Thandeka for the last time.
