Mzansi has reacted with mixed views about Sjava being kicked off the Cape Town International Jazz Festival roster.

The singer was booted from the line-up after news surfaced that Lady Zamar opened a rape case against him in November.

Some people have applauded the festival's decision and called it a great stand against human abuse.

Ntsiki Mazwai wrote, "This is true leadership."

A number of tweeps weren't convinced that the festival made the right decision as Sjava has not been proven guilty in a court of law.

One wrote, "Next week, I will make an allegation against you guys. Hopefully, everyone who bought tickets to your festival with disassociate with you immediately. A taste of your own medicine will be good."

Another wrote, "They say innocent until proven guilty. What will happen if the court finds him innocent then?"

A fellow musician who was accused and then cleared of domestic abuse charges is Arthur Mafokate.

Arthur was acquitted of all charges of abuse levelled against him by singer Cici last year.

While the case was ongoing, he lost multiple deals and was perpetually vilified - Nomzamo Mbatha was even criticised for taking a picture with him.

Sjava has denied the allegations against him and police are still investigating.
