A set of twin brothers called Emmanuel and Samuel Appiah Gyan who both graduated from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) have left their degrees to pursue a photography career under the SwagOfAfrica brand.
Youngendysblog.com reports that Samuel and Emmanuel graduated with degrees in Post Harvest Technology and Landscape Architecture from KNUST before giving up on their certificates and job search to venture into photography alongside blogging.
Reports indicate that it wasn’t an easy journey for the twins especially coming from the backdrop of society who considered them university graduates who were supposed to go looking for jobs with their CVs rather than taking photos.
The business venture of the duo reportedly started back on campus when they started the Twinsdntbeg brand which gave them popularity.
Fast-forward, with passion, resilience, determination and hard work, Samuel and Emmanuel were able to grow the young Twinsdntbeg startup into a mega SwagOfAfrica brand which has proven to be wildly successful.
SwagOfAfrica is now the official photographer for the president of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo and also the official social media managers for the second lady, Mrs Samira Bawumia, among other top celebrities.
Just recently, the brothers represented Ghana at the NAACP Awards 2020 ceremony, which took place on 22 February, 2020, at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium. It was a Hollywood ceremony and was broadcast live on BET.
In other news regarding the dumbfounding exploits of black twins, Judge Shanta Owens and Judge Shera Grant, two stunning black twin sisters, are reported as the first identical twins to serve simultaneously a district court judges at Jefferson County in the United States.
Blackculturenews.com reports that the two ladies made history between 2014 and 2016. It is indicated that Grant was elected to Jefferson County District Court, place 5, in November 2016.
Her sister, Owens on the other hand, was re-elected to Jefferson County Drug Court in 2014. It is indicated that Judge Shanta herself swore the twin sister Judge Shera into office.
