While many Hollywood stars like to donate some of their millions to charity or support foundations, they seem to love that people know about it.

Keanu Reeves, however, doesn't want his name attached to any of the good work his foundation is doing. He is that humble.

The actor, known most famously for his role in the Matrix movie series, is donating money to cancer research and numerous children's hospitals.

Keanu has been admired for his low-key and kind attitude since he became famous.

According to GoodTimes, the star has been photographed enjoying sandwiches with homeless people and not looking uncomfortable at all.

His younger sister, Kim, was diagnosed with leukaemia in the 90s and he became her primary caregiver. Leukaemia is a cancer of blood-forming tissue, which includes bone marrow.

It is likely this that prompted Keanu to start donating money to cancer research.

Briefly.co.za learnt that Keanu's private foundation helps to fund and support children's wards and hospitals as well as play a role in cancer research financing.

"I have a private foundation that’s been running for five or six years, and it helps aid a couple of children’s hospitals and cancer research.
"I don’t like to attach my name to it, I just let the foundation do what it does."

What a genuinely nice guy!
