DJ Maphorisa’s track Phoyisa got knighted when it made an appearance in one of Mzansi’s favourite drama shows, The Queen.

It’s no secret that DJ Maphorisa has been doing the thing with his music magnificence, and this feature just solidified that.

Briefly.co.za learnt that fans went gaga when they heard DJ Maphorisa’s Phoyisa while watching their weekly staple, The Queen.

Phoyisa is currently one of the littest tracks in Mzansi and for good reason – it’s pure fire, baba! Even Cassper Nyovest and Qwestakufet feature in it.

The show's scriptwriting team did the most when they decided to incorporate the song into their storyline.

It all went down when police busted the line, “Phoyisa”, while Tshepo's father, Sonnyboy, was trying to escape after beating his son – it was all kinds of litty.

While the majority thought the insert was life, some found it a tad offensive and impractical. Fans took their feels to the Twitter streets.

Taking to social media last Wednesday, Tira shared a snap of him and Shona Ferguson on the set of The Queen.

Exactly what Tira would be doing on The Queen and why, no one knows, but one thing is for sure, him and Shona make for a rather easy-on-the-eyes snap.
