- Prophet Shepherd Bushiri has been accused of impregnating the wife of a prominent Zimbabwean politician
- However, Major One denies that he fathered a child with the neighbouring country's deputy finance minister Terence Mukupe’s wife
- Bushiri said he had not spoken to Rachel J in three years and has not left Mzansi for 13 months
Shepherd Bushiri is shutting down claims that he got Zimbabwe's deputy minister of finance's wife pregnant.
This follows allegations that Major One had an affair with Terence Mukupe's spouse, Rachel J. The rumours are grounded on screenshots of alleged messages between the self-proclaimed prophet and the minister's wife.
The Citizen reported Bushiri said he had not contacted Rachel J on WhatsApp or any other messaging app for three years and has not left South Africa in 13 months.
“Secondly, I have not travelled out of South Africa in the last 13 months, and therefore have not met this man’s wife in Malawi as he believes. This ought to be public knowledge. Thirdly the contact number in his pictures is not mine and has never been mine. Therefore whoever was speaking with this man’s wife isn’t me,” said Bushiri in a statement.
Bushiri also called on Mukupe to protect his wife, adding that spreading the news of her pregnancy with another man opens Rachel J up to abuse.
However, Rachel J denied having been married to the Zimbabwean deputy minister in the first place.
In a post on Facebook, she shared a photo of her hand and wrote:
"There hasn't been a ring on this finger for a reason... don't claim what's not yours! The real Boaz is in the making. Hit the road Jack, don't you come back no more."

However, in a statement, Rachel J's family claims the child is that of her former partner. They slammed Mukupe for denying the baby is his in public but in private he tries to be part of the child's life.
The statement added she was never married to Mukupe nor did Prophet Bushiri impregnate her.
The fuming family added:
“We are confidently waiting for Terence Mukupe to go for a DNA test. Terence’s statement that Rachel asked for forgiveness is false.”
In another post, Rachel J throws serious shade at her ex, sharing screenshots and telling him she can take care of her own child.

Meanwhile, Briefly.co.za previously reported Bushiri claimed he survived attempts on his life. Taking to his official Facebook page, the infamous religious leader swiftly explained the harrowing ordeal.
He detailed how several "hitmen" surrounded his vehicle and it was caught on video - which is yet to be released.
Days after the alleged incident, three tents belonging to Major One's church were set on fire. He detailed the "attack" online and part of Bushiri's post read:
"As a church, we will continue in prayer, asking God to keep protecting us and, also, to shame and expose those who want to destroy the church He built. I have been persecuted - together with my church - and survived their bullets and cheap media propaganda. This too, shall pass."
