Panic buying empties shelves all over the world of hand sanitiser

As global hysteria over the coronavirus builds shopping centres are selling out of hand sanitiser and over the counter medication.

Social media users all over have posted pictures of empty shelves and price increases, with some curious additions to the coronavirus craze, namely toilet paper.

With social media sites awash with fake news of cures and preventions health departments are racing to dispel rumours.

Briefly.co.za learned that so far the best defence against the coronavirus is personal hygiene, namely; washing hands for at least 20 seconds. Some people have recommended singing happy birthday or your favourite national anthem while doing so to ensure the correct duration.

Briefly.co.za cleared the air about the use of face masks and discovered that they do not really help at all, people are rushing out to buy masks.

Some countries are prepared to criminally charge people for hoarding and reselling products such as hand sanitiser.
